The Regiotram de Occidente project aims to build a Train-Tram transport system that will connect Bogotá D.C. with the municipalities of Funza, Mosquera, Madrid and Facatativá.
This system will significantly improve road connectivity and reduce travel times for the inhabitants of the region.
The project includes an electric passenger train that will operate in suburban and urban areas along a route of approximately 40 km, mostly on an existing railway corridor. It begins at Carrera 17 with Avenida Calle 6 in Bogotá and extends to Facatativá Station – Calle 9, covering important intersections and roads in the city and surrounding municipalities.
