REBUILD is an exclusive event for architecture and construction and this year will be held from 26 to 28 April in IFEMA Madrid.
Our
BAC, SOCOTEC Group, director
Xavier Aguiló, UK Manager at BAC, is one of the expert speakers at REBUILD and will talk to us about “zero-impact buildings” alongside Manuel Lobo from Finsa, in a talk moderated by Antoni Ruíz Amorós.
The talk will cover topics such as maximising service lives, circular models, dismantling, disassembly, reuse, energy supply, etc. All these concepts represent new scenarios for architecture and construction.
Demonstrating that a building, depending on how it has been designed and built, can have zero impact and a longer service life and can even generate new business models is exactly what the zero-impact buildings talk intends to achieve.
Date: 28/04/2022 13:00 – 14:00 Auditorium BAUBLOCK

REBUILD is an event spearheading the transformation of the construction sector towards industrialised construction, sustainability, carbon neutrality, and digitisation. This year’s edition will also welcome the Spanish National Congress of Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0.
Xavier Aguiló, UK Manager at BAC Engineering, SOCOTEC Group, is an Industrial Engineer specialised in Structural Engineering. He is a lecturer for the Master’s programme in Circular Construction and the Postgraduate Programme in Sustainable Architecture and Construction in Zigurat, as well as in the MUA Master’s programme at the European School of Architecture in Madrid and the Central Saint Martins and Environmental Technical Studies AA in London.
His interest in sustainable engineering and iconic buildings led to him getting involved in integrating technology into architecture and reducing the carbon footprints of buildings.
