SOCOTEC in charge of the extension of Madrid Metro Line 11
The project involves the construction of a new section that will link La Fortuna station with Cuatro Vientos (Line 10) in the south of Madrid.
This project includes the study of connections with the existing Metro, Cercanías, and other means of transport. The southern extension of Line 11 of the metro is being carried out by the UTE participated by SOCOTEC and Proes, which will draft the project for the southern extension of Line 11.

The awarding of the Line 11 Metro extension project to SOCOTEC marks a fundamental milestone in the development of the region's transportation infrastructure and promises significant progress in mobility for the southern part of the city.
The new stations will not only improve connectivity between the different neighborhoods and the public transportation network, but they will also reduce travel times for citizens. In addition, the project includes the drafting of the Construction Project, the environmental processing, and the carrying out of the necessary preliminary studies for the definition of the optimal construction solution.

SOCOTEC's experience in mobility infrastructure, backed by recent projects such as the Line 9 Extension of the Barcelona Metro, the new Parla Station, and the technical assistance for the Valdebebas Interchange in Madrid (which will connect Cercanías, Line 11 of the Metro, and various EMT and Bus Rapid bus lines), will be key to carrying out this ambitious initiative.
