Project summary
Identifying the work necessary for the construction of a new Express Road (an urban highway) linking the centre of Santiago with Ruta G-25 (the road to Maipo), to the southeast.
Project details
The following studies were carried out for the project :
- Mapping and topography,
- Layout and study of the typology of intersections and junctions,
- Earthwork,
- Road surfaces and pavements,
- Climatology, hydrology and drainage,
- Monitoring the geotechnical campaign,
- Urban planning and integration,
- Study of the organisation and development of the work,
- Signalling, beaconing and road barriers; road safety analysis,
- Services affected,
- Expropriations,
- Budgets for the work.
In addition, we coordinated and led the relationship with the client and government bodies involved in the study.
The design is based on two separate carriageways each three lanes wide.
Of the total, 20 km are planned underground.
The project involves significant coordination with other major city infrastructure (metro L2, L4, L6, Zanjón de la Aguada, the Aguada interceptor sewer, Parque de la Aguada) and a consolidated urban fabric.
