Catalunya Media City

Research and audiovisual production projects will be promoted

The Turbine Hall, with its 22,600 square meters, will become the heart of Catalunya Media City, a center that will house training spaces, a cultural center for audiovisual and digital dissemination, and a benchmark for research and innovation.

The project, which seeks to preserve the industrial heritage value of the building, will include classrooms, open spaces, flexible configuration areas, and a balcony overlooking the Badalona coastline. Catalunya Media City will be structured around four pillars:

  • Training
  • Innovation
  • Exhibition
  • Resources

Professional and university training programs will be offered, audiovisual research and production projects will be promoted, an exhibition space with capacity for 4,000 people will be created, and technological resources will be provided to the audiovisual and digital community.
