Project summary:
This is an action that seeks the revegetation of the city and make the natural environment of Collserola penetrate between the buildings and blurs the boundaries between the city and the natural park. This is materialized by introducing more vegetation inside the neighborhood, blurring the limits and the vertical planes established by the walls to achieve a more fluid space connected with nature.
Project details:
The objective of redeveloping the Interiors of Trinitat Nova is framed with the will to rearrange the spaces between the 15 blocks of buildings that bring together a total of 46 cores of housing stairs located between Aiguablava Street and Ateneu Popular 9Barris.
Another fundamental point of the project is the resolution of universal accessibility in all the portals of the buildings that currently have steps to access the interior stairs, as well as the articulation of the space through various accessible routes that cross the interior, making it more permeable for everyone.
The proposed elevator for public use connecting the upper and lower part of Aiguablava Street, which will bridge a 5 meter difference in level, will complete the action in terms of improving the accessibility of the neighborhood with the connection points with the urban public transport of metro and bus that are located in the lower part of Aiguablava Street.
The action consists of redevelopment to improve conditions and adapt the block interiors and surrounding streets to the current circumstances of mobility, accessibility, lighting, materials and renovation of services. The project provides a detailed solution to the accessible connection (elevator and stairs) between the upper and lower part of Aiguablava Street.
