Sustainability and decarbonisation criteria in urbanisation projects.
17:30 CEST (Spain) | 10:30 GMT-5 (Colombia)
WEBINAR – 30 SEPTEMBER
In this masterclass we tell you about the main strategies for sustainable and circular management of water and materials in urbanisation projects, as well as having a rigorous control of carbon emissions, taking as an example the renovation of the Rambla Modolell in Viladecans. The calculation of the carbon footprint is a pioneering initiative in the accounting and transparency of emissions (Phases A1-A5). To this end, life cycle analysis is implemented, a methodology that allows the environmental impact to be calculated and recorded at each stage of the project.
Applications of Industrialization in Building Projects in Spain.

WEBINAR – OCTOBER 1
Learn how Modern Construction Methods (CMMs) and Design for Industrialization, Assembly and Disassembly (DfMAD) can transform your projects, reducing costs, minimizing errors, and fostering decarbonization. We will analyse success stories, such as the VIVE Plan and some of the America's Cup piers in Barcelona.
- Speaker: Josep Miñarro, Architecture Director & Project Manager
II Congress of Circular Engineering of the SOCOTEC Chair
CONGRESS – 2 OCTOBER
This year, the event focuses on the importance of Energy Savings Certificates (EACs) as a key financing tool to reduce energy consumption. Through case studies, we will discover how companies undertaking energy efficiency projects can benefit. In addition, relevant agents of the process will contribute their technical and regulatory vision, sharing experiences and approaches to maximise energy savings and contribute to the decarbonisation of the Spanish economy.
On the occasion of the European Week for Sustainable Development, SOCOTEC experts offer a series of thematic conferences on the main challenges of the energy and environmental transition.
Committed to Sustainability: Our Expertise and Technical Contribution

The importance of environmental impact assessment in Civil Engineering projects
At SOCOTEC, we are aware of our environmental responsibility in Civil Engineering projects, which usually modify the soil and its properties. For this reason, we have integrated environmental assessment into all our departments, ensuring that each project is sustainable and respects biodiversity, thus contributing to the conservation of the environment.
