SOCOTEC announces the acquisition of new offices and laboratories in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid.

The new headquarters, with 1500m2 of facilities, offers specialized E-TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification in Engineering) services: soil, aggregate, bituminous mixture, chemical, water and construction tests.

In addition, the laboratories have the accreditation of the Community of Madrid as a testing laboratory for quality control in building and the accreditation of the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC) for testing in the ballast railway sector.

With the expansion of these technical services and testing facilities, SOCOTEC is moving forward with its company growth strategy.

For its part, the general director of quality control at SOCOTEC, Abel Domato, explains that with these new facilities "we can offer better services in the central area of the country, not only by being closer to our customers, but also by having a team of experts with extensive experience in asphalt and railway testing".

The expansion operation was finalized with the acquisition of the production unit of Euroconsult laboratories, which allowed the company to increase its equipment and add a team of 26 professionals. Among its most outstanding works are the extension and remodeling of the Chamartín station and building and the quality control of the execution of the works of the Madrid-Castilla la Mancha-Valencia high-speed train line connection.

With this transaction, SOCOTEC establishes itself as a national benchmark in the engineering and E-TIC services sector.

With nearly 500 employees in Spain and over 12,000 worldwide, the company already has extensive experience in the sector, committed to innovation, sustainability, and quality to offer comprehensive solutions to its customers.
